According to the Order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dd. December 20, 2017 No. 953-R On approval of the list and composition of hospital districts of Vinnytska region the Municipal Non-Profit Institution Vinnytsia Regional Clinical Diagnostic and Treatment Center of Cardiovascular Pathology (abbreviated: MNI VRCCP) became part of the Northern Hospital District as a health care institution that provides secondary (specialized) сardiac care to the population.
By the decision of the Vinnytsia City Council No. 1342 of 28.09.2018, the Municipal Non-Profit Institution Vinnytsia Regional Clinical Diagnostic and Treatment Center of Cardiovascular Pathology (abbreviated: MNI VRCCP) was transformedfrom the Municipal Vinnytsia Regional Clinical Diagnostic and Treatment Center of Cardiovascular Pathology.
MNI VRCCP is the leading cardiac care center in the city of Vinnytsia and Vinnytska region.
The team of interventional cardiologists of the MNI VRCCP performs percutaneous coronary intervention (stenting) in patients with symptoms of acute myocardial infarction. All patients with acute myocardial infarction in a life-threatening condition shall be provided with a stent free of charge.
The Cardiac Care Center operates 24 hours 7 days a week, 365 days a year (24/7/365).
Inpatient departments and the X-Ray Operating Room work around the clock (24/7), providing urgent care to patients with acute coronary syndrome and cardiac rhythm and conduction disturbances. The center performs a number of diagnostic tests and therapeutic manipulations (сardiac ventriculography, aortic angiography, coronary and peripheral stent placement, temporary atrial and ventricular electrocardiostimulation and pacemaker insertion, chemical and electrical cardioversion). The open-heart cardiac surgery is also performed using a cardiopulmonary bypass machine.

The institution occupies a leading position in Ukraine in urgent interventions to patients with symptoms of acute myocardial infarction. As one of the best, the Center is included in the innovative projects of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine: Regional Reperfusion Network, Non-Communicable Diseases Prevention and Health Promotion in Ukraine within the framework of the policy Health 2020: A European Policy Framework and Strategy for the 21st Century, takes an active part in the public initiative Stent for Life, aimed at improvement of delivery of care to patients with myocardial infarction.
The center is engaged in educational work among doctors of the city and region. Together with specialists of the Department of Propaedeutic and Internal Medicine (Prof. Yu.M. Mostovyi) and the Department of Internal Medicine No. 3 (Prof.V. P. Ivanov) of the National Pirogov Memorial Medical University, the center conducts regular seminars for doctors of Vinnytsia and Vinnytsia region on topical issues of cardiology and cardiac surgery. Doctors of the Center deliver speeches and reports in all-Ukrainian and international conferences. Surgical procedures performed at the center were repeatedly demonstrated at the Congresses of the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions in Paris, France.
According to EU health protocols, stenting should be performed within the first 2 hours of the patient’s contact with medical personnel (maximum 12 hours from the onset of symptoms). Stenting is a procedure for mechanical removal of blood clots and atherosclerotic plaque buildup from vessels using a frame (stent), to restore the blood flow to the heart.
