The Division of Cardiology with Resuscitation and Intensive Care Unit was established in May 1971 on the basis of the Municipal University Hospital No. 4. The first head of the Division was V.M. Sorokina, followed by V.R. Briskin from 1984 to 2002.
The Division is the clinical base of the National Pirogov Memorial Medical University, Vinnytsia, and the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Medicine headed by Professor Yu.M. Mostovyi.
In 2008, the Division installed a hagiographic system, which enabled providing care to patients with CHD, myocardial infarction, in accordance with international and national standards.
In 2014, the Vinnytsia Regional Clinical and Diagnostic Center for Cardiovascular Pathology was founded with a division for treatment of patients with myocardial infarction for 70 beds and 6 beds at the intensive care unit.
The Division employs 10 cardiologists, a U/S diagnostician, a rehabilitation doctor, 20 nurses, and 14 junior nurses.
According to treatment standards, patients are provided care 24 hours a day. The Division currently provides treatment to patients with acute myocardial infarction and other CVS diseases.
